Anime America is annual anime convention held in California during the
summer months. The date for Anime America 1994 is the July
29th weekend. Anime America is sponsored by the Foundation for
Animation and Comics Education, a not-for-profit California
corporation

AnimeCon
--------
AnimeCon was the first international Anime Convention and was held at
the Red Lion Inn in San Jose CA on Labor Day weekend, 1991. The staff
of the original AnimeCon have sinced moved on to Anime Expo and Anime
America.

---------
An Annual 1 day Japanese Animation festival with a variety of
programming and events. The last one was held April 1993.

Anime East
----------
Anime East is the East Coast Anime & Manga Convention, organized by
the non-profit organization, Atlantic Anime Alliance (AaA) which had
previously organized ChibiCon '93. It is scheduled to be held
November 1994 in the New Jersey area.

Anime Expo

Anime Expo is an annual Anime/Manga Convention organized by the
non-profit organization, Society for the Promotion of Japanese
Animation. (SPJA) and held in California during the Summer months..
Anime Expo '94 is scheduled to be held at the Anaheim Marriott/Anaheim
Convention Center on the July 4th weekend.

by I-Con XII. There are no plans for future ChibiCons but the AaA is
planning to hold Anime East: A large-scale independent East Coast
